How long should I allow per chocolate workshop?

Each workshop shows an estimate of how long the course will run. However for parking purposes allow a little longer than the time shown, you may be surprised how time flies by!

What should I bring with me?

Just yourself and a smile. We will go through some hygiene rules of the kitchen before you start making chocolates so we ask that you leave valuables and jewelry at home. Ideally, keep makeup and perfume to a minimum. We provide you with an apron & mobcap to wear for the duration of the course, though we recommend you wear comfortable shoes and short sleeves for the duration of the course.

How much does the Chocolate Workshop cost?

Each workshop is different, price is displayed underneath the description of each course. Prices are per person. Bespoke courses can be tailor-made on request. The price will then be calculated based on requirements.

Can I bring someone with me to watch?

Unfortunately, there isn’t enough room to accommodate spectators. We have a comfortable cafe area where drinks can be purchased and the chocolate room can be viewed at all times for parents overseeing parties.

What is the minimum age to participate in a Chocolate Workshop?

There is no minimum age for the mini piping workshops held in the party area of our Chocolate Cafe. However, the minimum age to take part in a Chocolate Workshop or Chocolate Party is held in our Chocolate Room. is 8 Years. It is compulsory for at least one parent to stay on-premises to oversee a workshop for under 16’s.

Do you offer workshops in the evenings??

Subject to availability, Chocolate Making Workshops can also be offered in the evenings

Are the Chocolate Making Courses held in your factory or the Chocolate Cafe?

For health and safety purposes we do not offer chocolate making courses at our Chocolate Factory which is a fully working factory environment. All Chocolate Making Courses are held in our Chocolate Theatre at Hames Chocolate Cafe under the guidance of one of our experienced Chocolatiers.
